Sometimes I speculate how my future wife will love this wondering mess. Man she is an amazing woman!!! The discovery of true love, not the type of love that sparks on a match, but a fire that smolders with no end in sight. A love that gives you your highest of highs and your lowest of lows. The silent unspoken fear on behalf of people is true love!!! Poets, artists, relating participants, people everywhere from 16 to 35 drinks are free!!! Love spills out like an overflowing cup. What a simple topic to trample, write, and blame citizens for. I know I don’t speak for all, but I know I speak for most. It’s a long walk finding a way to say “I love you” as well as an emotional trip at times. What difference am I maybe looking for? When we are in love we are intimate and reborn with a hyper electric current, but in deception we are broken into pieces.
Up somewhat early and going for a full breakfast with homemade pancakes with ice cream for a topping and tea instead of coffee, I knew something was off. I headed off to Ellis Park with an umbrella and my ipod. Putting on Andrew Belle with raw and well placed rhythmic guitar got me smiling. I’ve made it a long way in this journey, catching up with old friends and creating new ones. Just as quickly as the rain came, the sun came into view. Stepping aside to shade my eyes I put my glasses on with haste. What color of lens was I seeing? Did these colors really exist? A figure rode by me on her vintage bicycle, cloaked but brighter then the sun. She smiled with a gaze I can only describe as undesirable. What was this complex connection with this wondering traveler? What a time of confused messages we live in, fed by text messages and shadowed computer screens. Again what lens is this? What did we create? Looking back on the hours, months, and years the question arises what is real? Nobody cares about the individual, if you’re an individual you might as well not exist but a beautiful sunrise reminds us some days are not supposed to be spent alone. I smile as she rides into the romantic space ahead telling myself to reclaim my innocence and start over. It’s never too late to start over!
